Baldur's Gate
Chapter 6: Candlekeep
You're back to Candlekeep! The book the Duke gave you gains you entrance to your home. This is a pretty short chapter, mostly a "learning about yourself" chapter.
You chat with Cadderly and Phyladia. Koran warns you about Koveras, who has been acting strangely. Koveras. Sarevok. Hmmmmm. Suspicious? Theodan is another chatty old friend. This is one place where I suspend my "don't steal from your friends" rule. You're in the library, and about to face the Bad Guys. Take the scrolls as a "donation" and read all of the little letters around. Just don't take money from peoples desks :)
The second floor has Bendaks. Ask Why? Who? and he points you at Koveras again. Off to the right, you meet Koveras. Go ahead, trust him and take his ring. It's a +1 ring of protection. He has good reason to want you to kill the Bad Guys - i.e. those who stand in the way of his power.
Chanter tells you of a secret place - that Alaundro is entombed beneath this building. Head up to the third floor.
The third floor has Rieltar and company. Don't fight him here, although you can tell him about Koveras if you'd like. It won't really matter, he ends up dead shortly. Roam raound here and then head up again.
Fourth floor has Piato, who tells you to go into Gorian's room. Here you find the final proof that you are indeed a Demon Spawn. What a rough life you lead!!
The fifth floor is where you are accused of Brunos and Rieltar's murder. You didn't do it of course, but go along quietly with them. You'll be thrown into jail. You'll be yelled at ... and then your old buddies will transport you where you wanted to go anyway, down into the catacombs!
