At the table in front of him is a guy with a cards pairs game. This is in essence the simple game of memory. You have to pair up all cards within the time limit. Use your cursor to point at a card, and A to flip. When you're preparing the game, use your left thumb to increment the bet. Your max bet is 1,000gp and you can EASILY make thousands of dollars playing this, it's very easy.

The first time we played we got 32.3 seconds, and got an extra prize. It was the Briar Rose Hero Doll. We got no other special prize despite hitting 21.1 as a high score.

The technique is to go along a row left to right and call out what the first four cards are. Saying them aloud helps. Having a friend with you helps too. Then as you do the remaining see how they match to those first four or to the new ones which you need less trouble in remembering, as you just flipped them a second ago.

When you stop playing, a kid (in a tavern??) says his teacher has a rare doll - that when we get all 6, to go see the teacher.

If you try to go outside the tavern and up the big stone stairs, a guard says you need a permit to get up there.

Maze is right outside the tavern now. He talks about the night of the raid and says your sister is alive. He also says to replace your basic equipment. Do so at the 3 merchants - two are by the gates into the town and the armorer is to the left of the tavern.

Note if you talk to a guard, he asks you to sponsor his break for 1,000 gold. no.
