Ico Walkthrough
Up To the Bridge

You start out as a little boy with horns and big stick. The villagers put you in a stone box. They say "Do not be angry with us - this is for the good of the village." Oh Lovely. But luckily you escape! Then you're absorbed by blackness.

First, go up the ramp and use the circle button to pull the lever. This opens the door.

OK, next climb on top. Use the triangle to jump, go into the window. Jump up at the next spot.

Go up the ladder, then up long stairs. Shimmy up the chain. There's more path to walk. It's very quiet. A movie comes in with you looking at the cage. "What were you doing in there? Hold on, I will get you down."

Now you reach a gap. Jump into the window by gap. Go out, over 2 and in again. This gets you around the gap.

Press the circle button to pull the lever. This lowers the cage. Run down. I found the rotating camera very annoying here. Go up the other ladder. From the top of the stonework, run and jump onto the cage. It falls down, and the white girl comes out.

You say they were going to sacrifice you. Then the shadows come. Immediately grab the stick with the circle button. Now run and fight again with the circle. This fight is a training fight almost, it's not too hard. Just keep your distance so they don't knock you over.

Now go to the stone heads. The girl demonstrates her one bit of usefulness and causes them to open. Climb up and go out to bridge. Use the R1 key to bring her along.

Sit to the left on the stone couch - this is a save spot. "Old Bridge".
