The vendor has 2 new weapons:

Go in the cave - there are dragons and enemies. Work your way through and hop across the islands. You reach a sot labelled "in case of emergency" - you get an Upgraded Wrench! There's a vendor here too.

Head on past - more dragons and bugs. Go around to the swingshot spot. Land and gather. The next one takes some care so look at it closely. You have to do a high swing and then fly down to sandy area.

A ship lands - it's the ninja. She wants the blue experiment. And of course you realize - it's a girl. She tells you the galaxy is now in danger. She shows you a video of the testing facility. Then she takes off to planet Dobbo. Go up the elevator and you're back at the ship. Talk to the guy there. He says the power of crystals are needed to heal your ship. These crystals can found in the desert. Ohm ... Ohm ...

You need 10 for now. Go out in the sand. Hack the big purple mineral block and you get a crystal. There are 2 right in front. If you go with synthoids they handle any enemies. Just run around, it's pretty easy to find them. Build up your weapons on the various enemies while you go.

The 10th crystal has a giant boss creature, who happens to have a crystal in it. Head on back to the guy - and the ship fixes! The guy now pays 8000 bolts for 8 crystals and there are 82 crystals left in desert. Have fun crystal hunting if you wish!

Take the path to the side through the building down to a tunnel and then a water area. Freeze it and hop up on the platform. In the next area is water with a 3-way platform. Stand on the back one while freezing so the front one is up in the air. Now you reach a waterfall. Freeze it and walljump up the middle.

You get the glider!! Use X to launch it. If you can glide all the way to the end of the canyon and down to the bottom, there's a platinum bolt!!

Note that there's another bolt deep in the middle of the dessert - in the far northeast corner. Also note if you're having trouble finding all the crystals that there are 12 crystals on the "island area". You get a skill point for finding them all.
