Park Seed falll 2021 Catalog
The fall 2021 Park Seed catalog features a number of new varieties of vegetables, herbs, ornamentals, and flowers.

New vegetables and herbs for Fall 2021 include an open pollinated heirloom vegetable spaghetti squash, Park’s Whopper Bush bean, Microgreens Old Mexico Mix, and Kandy Corn Plus miniature pumpkins, which are ready in 85 days. This variety is space saving.

New flowers for fall 2021 include Petunia Daddy Mix, Snaptini snapdragon mix, Aster Starlight formula mix, and Swiss Giants mix of heirloom pansies.

The catalog also lists various kinds of hardy spring blooming bulbs as well as various kinds of shrubs, perennials, and fruit plants. The herbs include Cat’s Pajamas Nepeta, Red Creeping thyme, and Butterfly Rainbow Marcella echinacea. There is also a new heirloom sweet basil.

The Park fall catalog features two full pages of sunflowers. New ones include the Giant Teddy Bear sunflower, reaching 7 feet. It has 8 inch wide blossoms. Double Sun King sunflower is also new. Five feet tall, it has fluffy looking sunflowers on multi-branched plants.

New Fruit plants include Neverella fig, hardy to zone 7, Fall Gold raspberry, and the Blue Velvet honeyberry.

The cosmos are one of my favorite annuals. I love the fact that the catalog devotes an entire page to these flowers. My favorite is the pastel tricolored Apricot Lemonade cosmos.

Of the various marigolds listed in the catalog, the Disco Mix is my favorite. These French marigolds bloom very early and bear two inch wide charming, single type blossoms. These are a mix of colors, including yellows, oranges, and reds. Some of them are spotted with red.

For flower power, it is hard to beat zinnias. This catalog devotes two pages to these flowers. Several award winners are listed, including Lilac Zinderella, which was a Fleuroselect winner, and Wihite Profusion zinnia, which received a Fleuroselect Gold medal and an All America Selections Gold medal.

The catalog has two pages of pollinator plants. The choices include individual flower varieties as well as various seed and plant mixes. There is a native perennial mix, a butterfly wild flower mix, a hummingbird wildflower mix, a bee wild flower mix, and an annual bee balm mix.

Some kinds of seeds are available as seed tape. The catalog devotes one page to cool season crops and two pages of tomatoes. The fall 2021 catalog also features everything gardeners will need to start seeds. The items include grow light gardens and the like. Other gardening supplies and aids include fertilizers, plant supports, and items for plant protection, such as tunnels.

Next year will likely be a banner year for gardening just as the last two h ave been due to the pandemic. For that reason, gardeners are urged to plan their gardens for next year and place orders without delay. Otherwise, many items will likely be sold out.
